- Call for Papers -
Current challenges and trends in the wood-based panel industry will form the focus of the 11th European Wood-based Panel Symposium, which will take place in Hamburg from 10th to 12th October 2018.
More than 300 participants from Germany and abroad are expected by the organizers, the Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research WKI and the European Panel Federation EPF, in collaboration with the International Association for Technical Issues Related to Wood – iVTH and Sasol Wax. Within the sections “Raw materials”, “Process technology“, “Furniture application“, “Insulation application“ and “International requirements“, presentations will be provided by around 20 distinguished speakers from economics, science and politics.
If you are interested in providing a presentation or a scientific poster, you are welcome to submit an abstract in English via website http://www.european-wood-based-panel-symposium.org. The application deadline is 28th February 2018. As a chosen speaker you will, of course, be exempted from the conference fee.
Registration for the conference is possible via the website. The early bird price is valid until 14th August 2018. Our iVTH members can participate in the event at discounted prices. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). As an iVTH member, you will then receive a voucher code for your online registration. The discounted participation will be activated during the registration process.
Please also register yourself and, where applicable, accompanying person for the supporting program. Both the welcome evening at the Grand Elysée Hotel and the planned SasolWax evening reception at a secret location will provide you with the opportunity to network with other participants whilst enjoying good food and drinks.
In order for the participants to obtain the maximum possible benefit from the internationality of the conference, all presentations and panel discussions will be simultaneously translated into German and English.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Hamburg!
