13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium
October 9 - 11, 2024, Hamburg, Germany
The organizing team from Fraunhofer WKI and European Panel Federation (EPF) can look back on a very successful event: Around 375 guests from 31 nations worldwide represented the great interest of the industry in the now 13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium, which took place again at the Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg. The symposium was once again supported by Hywax GmbH and the iVTH.
The participants from industry, academia and associations had ample opportunity to learn about developments and trends related to wood-based materials. This was contributed by the 20 specialist lectures, spread over two days, which also opened promising new perspectives. A technical trade exhibition accompanying the conference, as well as a poster session, rounded off the program. The social gathering was ensured not only by the welcome evening but also by the evening reception at the Millerntor-Stadium, to which Hywax GmbH warmly invited. Long breaks also provided ample opportunity for networking.
In two years, the event series will be continued as scheduled. The 14th European Wood-Based Panel Symposium will take place from 14 - 16 October 2026 in Hamburg.
