13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium
October 9 - 11, 2024, Hamburg, Germany
The organizers, Fraunhofer WKI and the European Panel Federation (EPF), can look back on a very successful event: Around 370 guests from 31 nations worldwide represented the significant interest of the industry for the now 13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium, which took place at the Grand Elysée Hotel Hamburg. The symposium was once again supported by Hywax GmbH and the iVTH.
Participants from industry, science, and associations had ample opportunity to learn about developments and trends related to wood-based materials. A total of 20 expert presentations spread over two days, opened up promising new perspectives. An accompanying technical exhibition and a poster session completed the program. The social gathering was ensured not only by the welcome evening but also by the evening reception at Millerntor Stadium, which Hywax GmbH graciously hosted. Long breaks also provided plenty of opportunities for networking.
In two years, the event series will continue as scheduled. Interested parties can already register for the newsletter on the event website. The 14th European Wood-Based Panel Symposium takes place from October 14 - 16, 2026, again in Hamburg.
The iVTH will soon publish a special newsletter about the 13th European Wood-based Panel Symposium and provide detailed information.
